So she never actually wears a sundress in the anime but I thought since asuka had one why not?
I designed and drafted the pattern myself and I adore how this dress came out, I may use it in the future for another character if it comes up. Its made from quilting cotton and I added the grey waist belt it break up the amount of why in the outfit. The accents are all done in navy blue instead of white to tie in the wig. The wig is my favourite out of the entire cosplay to be honest, I adore how the colour looks on camera and in person, very toned down from the normal rei wig colours which I think works well for a more *realistic* take on her and it should translate well to th rest of the cosplays, like it did for the bodypaint set I did of the Plugsuit.
Feature in this set is the amazing
who did an amazing job cosplaying the asuka outfit I wore to anime north this year. I was so happy to finally have photos of this cosplay as I did not have it shot at the convention. She did a wonderful job and to see mroe of her from this shoot be sure to check out her page! The dress is made from broad cloth for cost reasons and I went with the paler colour that matched the anime`s version but the art I keep seeing online. I love how the pale colour makes her hair pop so much along with the red flats and the clips in her hair. The design was simple and easy to do.
I kept the make up very simple for this look as well.
